Birthday wish list

October 1, 2011

My birthday might be a long ways away, but I can’t help thinking of what I want already. I might just treat myself to something on this list within the month!

I have been lusting over these lace TOMS the entire summer…

I really like the pink leather this Fossil wallet is made of, or any Fossil wallet for that matter…

Polaroid has come out with a new instant camera and film! Similar in size and shape to the Fuji Film Instax cameras, but this one comes in red! I am so close to buying this right now………

I’ve also been interested in an “e-reader”. It would be handy to have multiple books in your bag at one time, as I usually have a book or two on the go at once…

A girl can dream big, can’t she? 😉

Around the web

August 15, 2011

Photo via Pinterest

Do you ever find yourself cruising around the web, and all of a sudden you go off on tangents that lead to the most amazing discoveries?

I have to admit, I find most of my inspiration these days on the web. I thought I’d share with you my latest web obsessions, and who knows maybe they will become your as well!

Such as…..

These amazing photo books from Blurb. I’m so tempted to make some as Christmas presents.

Or Missoni’s collection for Target. That bike is seriously calling my name!!

One of my new favorite street style blogs is I Want To Be Her!

As always, Etsy has amazing handmade goods. Like these super cute cards to send out to your friends. I miss getting snail mail!

Finally, along with a Twitter account, Tumblr account, and countless fashion blogs I check, I now have a Pinterst account. It’s a fun and easy way to make an online scrap-book like inspiration board. This way you can organize what inspires you, and find more inspiration from others with similar interests.

What has been inspiring you these days? I hope you enjoy these links, and find your own little gems this week on the web.

Polkadots

August 9, 2011

Here’s a sneak peek at my upcoming project this week:

I love nail art, and since I don’t have time to do something so intricate myself, I’ve resorted to nail strips! They are easy, and quite fun! They also come in as many colors and patterns as you can imagine. Perfect for the girl that changes her mind all the time.

Now I can match my nails to my outfits! Dorky I know, but it’s such a simple pleasure and a way to treat myself every time I glance at my nails.

Check back soon to see how I styled them!

Earlier in the week I enjoyed some mini golf…

Wearing Delux fedora, vintage romper

And painted my nails with some funky new polish…

Sephora by OPI’s “Read My Palm” and “Blasted Black”

What are you up to with your weekend? I’m off to a baseball game, see you next week!

I can see the light

May 11, 2011

Well what do you know, it’s finally spring!

Sorry I have been M.I.A. lately…. Work has been super busy! I was sent out of town for business, then I got sick, then when I was finally home I had a lot of commitments and that left me no time for blogging. But I’m super excited not only to be back here blogging, but to be collaborating with a friend of mine that’s a photographer to do some fun photo shoots! I have lots of great ideas so I will be posting regularly again. Oh, and did I mention I’m going to Mexico?

For now here is a sneak peek at some of my inspiration for the spring:

I would love to pack up a bag like this one from Fossil and go away for the weekend

This is the pool I will be lounging in when I’m in Mexico 🙂

I have five little daisy’s sprouting in this nifty little pot I got at H&M with their Conscious Collection. grow little flowers!!!

That’s all for now, I hope you are enjoying all the spring showers! That can only mean one thing, a glorious summer is up ahead!

Lets GO!

March 14, 2011

As spring starts creeping up, I’m getting super excited to pack away my winter closet and pull out my spring/summer closet!

With each season I try and get ride of items I have held onto but still haven’t worn to make room for anything new I add to my closet. So far I’ve been pretty active in finding new pieces for spring lol

Target just launched another Go International collection, and this time they brought back some of the most popular dresses they have sold over the past 5 years. I can’t believe they have been collaborating that long! I remember getting my mom to drive me down to Bellingham so I could shop the Luelle Bartley collection. There wasn’t much left, but I did score a super cute green skirt and a skull and bones clutch. Still a favorite to this day!

Since then I snatched up a gorgeous light blue Rodarte dress:

This time I checked the website on launch day to ensure I could get my hands on this lovely slip inspired Rodarte dress:

and this vintage inspired floral frock from Tucker:

I can’t wait to style them up for spring!! I might even wear the Rodarte dress to a wedding. I also hope that the weather picks up so I can take more outfit shots outside. Indoor lighting isn’t really the best for photos. I have some good outfits planned, including a variety of spring trends that I’m loving this year. Stay tuned!!

What’s in that purse?

February 16, 2011

First of all, I love purses. Second of all, I love throwing stuff in my purse.

When I was a teenager, me and my best friends would go through each others purses if we were bored and see what interesting things we had in there. Now I try to keep my purse a bit more organized, but I still like having stuff in there just in case.

Everyone by now has done a “what’s in my purse” post, so I thought I would share what’s in mine. I really like Stef’s post from Keep your Guns At Home because her purse is gorgeous!!! And Rebecca The Clothes Horse did this really cute stop motion video of her purse contents a while ago that makes me wish I could make those little videos.

So this is the purse I am currently using, the Kensie Girl cross shoulder bag I picked up cross boarder shopping a while ago:

From left to right: Moleskin day planner and Papermate Biodegradable pen, Rayban glasses, Victoria’s Secret mints, Soapopular hand sanitizer, Clinique Chubby Stick lip color balm & travel hair brush,  Fossil wallet, Harry Potter the Exhibition keychain

These are the basics I use in every purse I carry. Sometimes if I have room I throw in my digital camera and a reusable bag, because you never know where the day will take you. My favorite item at the moment is my Moleskin day planner. It has each week on the left side, and a blank lined page on right where I can make notes for myself that week. I bought a bigger version for school and loved the design, so naturally I bought another one for the new year. Plus it’s super soft to touch, and has a handy ribbon book mark built in.

So what do you carry in your purse? I would love to see!!

February 11, 2011

So if you didn’t notice, I couldn’t quite get the posts up this week that I wanted. Work has been crazy, and the weather not so nice so I didn’t get a chance to photograph the outfits I had planned. However, I did snap some quick pictures of the outfits anyways in a make-shift studio (aka my room).

This first outfit is a casual but cute outfit you could wear to work, or out on a date. Paired with flats or heels, it’s fun and showcases my love of Polaroids.

T-shirt and Skirt- H&M

The next outfit is casual but cute. I could see myself wearing it on my day off to run errands, or to meet up with some girl friends. I would pair this outfit with flats or little jazz shoes. You can still have fun on Valentines day with some of your closest friends!!!!

Tank top, Boyfriend Blazer and Jeans – H&M, Vintage Coach purse

If you are looking for something a bit more dressed up, or to impress a certain someone, I would wear a sexy little dress like this one. Paired with simple accessories, it will be sure to catch their attention.

Dress and Heart Purse – H&M, Steve Madden Heels

What are your plans for this lovely Valentines weekend? I am going to celebrate with the city of Vancouver as it is the one year anniversary of the 2010 Winter Olympics. There will be lots of free events happening down town, including street hockey and free skating! Hope your weekend is fun as well, and have a Happy Valentines!

What’s not to love?

February 7, 2011

I know Valentines day is one of those weird holiday’s that people either love or loathe. I personally think it’s kind of fun. I mean if you take it as a fun day where you can appreciate all the love in your life, enjoy some candy and the many lovely shades of red and pink, then it’s not so bad right?

I love all the cute little things that come out around Valentines day. Anyone see these red Heartbeat headphones by Lady Gaga?

Or these awesome Chuck Taylor’s?

Other item’s I wouldn’t mind scooping up before V-Day include these sunglasses…..

a set of Marc Jacob’s pencils (found exclusively at BookMarc)….

This gorgeous Dolce & Gabanna compact…..

or a pair of sparkly pink Tom’s for the girly girl in me!

I have a few Valentines inspired outfits I would like to share with you this week, which aren’t hard to create with my wardrobe. So if you’re looking for a cute dinner date outfit, something casual for the weekend or something a little different, check back and see what I come up with!
