Sorry I’ve been lacking in the post department, I’ve been on the go with work and friends since I got back from New York. I promise I will post all my amazing pictures soon and give you all the details. I have some great quotes from the event I can’t wait to share!

Until then I will show you this lovely jacket from Spotted Moth that I really, really want! It’s so cute and versatile, but I mostly want it because it’s lined with wonderfully plush looking faux fur. I think it would be nice and cozy on my way to work this winter, and would keep me warm while still looking cute when I go out at night!

What do you think? I also want to order this cute peanut necklace. Not only is it adorable and different, but it has a hidden little blade! Quite useful for cutting random threads or packages, this really is a useful addition to my collection!

Alright that’s it from me for tonight. New York recap soon and some more fall outfits 🙂

So Cute

October 25, 2010

So today was my last full day in NYC. I fly home tomorrow in the evening, so today I took the subway to Soho. I fell in love with this area of New York and wish I had more time to explore there!!

I walked the streets all day looking in boutiques and found a few jem’s to bring home. Here is Soho from my point of view

Needless to say I had a fabulous day and would love to come back to Soho any time. Tomorrow, I explore the Met and say my goodbyes to New York!!

good shopping day

January 16, 2010

I met up with a friend for lunch and a trip to Value Village today, and did I ever score big!

I usually don’t find anything to amazing at Value Village because they are picked over so easily. However today I found two great additions to my closet, all by luck.

The first is a pair of amazing vintage booties. They are short, with small heels, and snap up the side. Some of the snaps have lost the matching suede covering and reveal the brass button underneath, but I like how it looks. The toes are slightly pointed but more of a rectangular point if that makes sense. They are perfect, and I was actually looking for some more short boots so I couldn’t say no! The best part is, they were only $8!!!!!

Second, I found a lovely 100% wool navy blue over sized cardigan from the men’s section. I found a nice one in the ladies sweaters but it had holes all over one sleeve and a rip in the cuff. The one I bought only had a tiny hole in the back, which I can darn, and is missing a few buttons. For $5 who cares about missing buttons!

I love thrift shopping, what have been your amazing finds?
